【100,000 mt/year Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate Production Officially Launched in Gansu】On April 18, 2025, the 100,000 mt/year lithium manganese iron phosphate (LFMP) cathode material project of Baiyin Times Ruixiang New Material Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Times Ruixiang") was officially launched in the Baiyin High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Gansu Province. The first phase of the 20,000 mt project involves a total investment of 485 million yuan. The long-term plan is to achieve a capacity of 100,000 mt, constructed in three phases. The first phase of the 20,000 mt production line has been fully operational, with an expected annual revenue of 1 billion yuan. Upon completion of the second and third phases, the total capacity will reach 100,000 mt.
【Environmental Impact Assessment Approval for Jining Heyuan's 50,000 mt Battery Scrap Recycling and Regeneration Project】On April 17, the Yanzhou District Ecology and Environment Bureau issued approval opinions on the environmental impact assessment document for the 50,000 mt battery scrap recycling and regeneration project of Jining Heyuan Resource Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. The project site is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Yanyan Road and Zishan Road, Yandian New City Industrial Park, Yandian Town, Yanzhou District, Jining City, with a total investment of 100 million yuan.
【Proposed Construction of 50,000 mt Battery Scrap Recycling and Regeneration Project】Recently, the Yanzhou District Ecology and Environment Bureau issued approval opinions on the environmental impact assessment document for the 50,000 mt battery scrap recycling and regeneration project of Jining Heyuan Resource Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. The project focuses on the collection and disposal of battery anode pole pieces, anode single rolls, anode off-cuts, as well as printed copper foil and aluminum foil off-cuts, with an annual processing capacity of 50,000 mt. It aims to achieve efficient recycling and regeneration of battery scraps.
【Large-scale Energy Storage Battery Production Project in Qingdao to Commence Production Soon】The battery cell plant of Great Power Energy's 13 billion yuan energy storage battery production project (Phase I) has been completed. The Phase I project of Great Power Energy's energy storage battery production consists of three buildings: the battery cell plant, the PACK plant, and the comprehensive building. Among them, the battery cell plant covers an area of 93,000 m², making it the largest and highest-capacity monomer plant within the Great Power Group. According to the project leader, the main structure of the battery cell plant in Phase I was capped at the end of May 2024 and completed in September of the same year. It is understood that the Great Power Energy energy storage battery production project plans a total investment of 13 billion yuan, covering an area of approximately 1,000 mu, and will be constructed in three phases. Phase I covers 275 mu, with a capacity of 12 GWh, mainly producing 314 Ah (ampere-hour) lithium iron phosphate large-scale energy storage battery cells for application in large-scale energy storage systems, covering most scenarios such as electricity energy storage, industrial and commercial energy storage, household energy storage, network energy, and smart energy.
【Sodium-ion Battery Headquarters Base Project Commences in Meishan, Sichuan】On April 18, the Sodium Energy Meishan headquarters base project officially commenced in the southern area of Ganmei Industrial Park. The Sodium Energy Meishan headquarters base project involves a total investment of 2 billion yuan, planning to construct production lines for 30,000 mt/year of sodium iron sulfate cathode material, 2.5 GWh of sodium iron sulfate battery cells, and 5 GWh of sodium iron sulfate battery PACKs. Upon reaching full production, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of over 4 billion yuan, annual taxes of over 200 million yuan, and create over 500 jobs.
【First Public Announcement of 30,000 mt Lithium Battery Recycling Project】Recently, the Economic and Technological Development Zone of Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, conducted the first public announcement of environmental impact assessment information for the new energy recycling project of Tongliao Changtong New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. It is understood that the project mainly focuses on recycling and utilizing used lithium-ion batteries, scrapped PV units, and wind turbine blades. Upon completion, it will achieve an annual cascade utilization of 10,000 mt of used lithium-ion batteries, dismantling and crushing 20,000 mt of used lithium-ion batteries, dismantling 20,000 sets of scrapped wind and PV units, and constructing energy storage projects.
【Launch of 7,000 mt Lithium Battery Recycling Technological Transformation and Upgrading Project】Recently, the Yiyang City Ecology and Environment Bureau in Hunan Province issued a public announcement on the approval decision for the environmental impact assessment document of Hunan Jinyuan New Material Co., Ltd.'s 7,000 mt/year green and intelligent quality improvement project for battery-grade lithium carbonate production. This move marks another solid step forward for Hunan in the field of power battery recycling and processing.
【33,000 mt Lithium Battery Recycling and Processing Project in Lanxi, Zhejiang Province to Soon Land】Recently, the People's Government of Lanxi City, Zhejiang Province, issued a public announcement on the environmental impact assessment information for the "33,000 t/a nickel-cobalt resource comprehensive utilization project" of Lanxi Boguan Recycling Technology Co., Ltd., attracting widespread attention in the new energy industry sector and marking another solid step forward for Zhejiang in the layout of the lithium battery industry chain. Upon completion, the project will have an annual material processing capacity of 33,000 mt of nickel-cobalt metal-containing materials, covering various materials such as nickel briquette, nickel powder, MHP, spent ternary lithium batteries, and black mass. Specifically, the annual capacities are 2,000 t/a for nickel briquette and nickel powder, 16,000 t/a (dry basis) for MHP, 13,000 t/a for spent ternary lithium batteries, and 2,000 t/a for black mass.
